Angela Washburn
Owner

Angela has been a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) for over 25 years and in private practice in Georgetown, TX for 20 plus years and counting. She has experience in personal, business, estate and trust tax returns, personal financial management, tax planning, business strategic consulting – including entity selection, and QuickBooks set-up and maintenance. She previously worked at Ernst & Young, and says she will always credit the company with the career training of a lifetime.

​Angela received her BBA with a major in Accounting and a minor in Marketing from The University of Texas, Austin. She is a graduate of the “Leadership Georgetown” program sponsored by the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce. Angela lives with her husband in Georgetown, Texas, while her kids live in both Austin and Lubbock, Texas. Angela has a passion for assisting women’s and children’s cause and has volunteered with many non-profit organizations including: Community Montessori School, Empowering Women as Leaders, Habitat for Humanity and local Georgetown schools serving on the PTA, booster clubs, and as a mentor. She is proud to have been a board member of Goodwater Montessori School as the school applied for and was accepted as a public charter school. 

Angela loves spending time with her kids, her husband and her golden retriever, Lola. She enjoys yoga, reading and her Little Free Library at the office. It was a birthday present from her staff, and is a treasured gift. Angela has a passion for serving her clients and the long-standing relationships that come with her job.

Maureen Raleigh
Office Manager

Maureen was born and raised in New Jersey, where she received her bachelor's degrees in Economics, Marketing & Management from Monmouth University.   She also has credits towards a Master’s degree in Education. She has professional experience in office management, corporate relocation consulting and mortgage lending. She has been working as a member of Angela’s team for over 10 years. Often times Maureen will be your first point of contact and responsible for coordinating you connect with the staff member that suits your needs.

Maureen and her husband have lived in Texas for over 20 years. While not working, she enjoys exercising, being outside and is very active in her children’s schools. She has served as booster club and PTA president and is actively involved in supporting academic recognition at the local high school.

Lori Boliek Nitsche, CMA
Bookkeeping Manager

Lori graduated from the University of Louisville with a BBA in Finance in 1986 and received her Certified Management Accountant designation in 1990. She spent 13 years in the Dallas area corporate world as a systems analyst for corporate financial systems before taking some time off to raise her four children.

​Lori joined the Angela Washburn CPA team in December 2012 to help grow the bookkeeping side of the business and ensure clients have accurate financials for their business decisions. Since joining the team, she has enjoyed working with the variety of industries and amazing clients!

​In her free time, Lori enjoys hiking and kayaking in the great outdoors with her daughters who live in Utah and Montana. Closer to home, she enjoys lake time with her husband, Doyle, and two-stepping to live country music. She loves to travel and experiencing new locations - in fact - she has visited 46 out of 50 states and looks forward to reaching the goal of seeing all 50!

Lisa Neighbors, CPA
Business Tax Specialist

Lisa is a Certified Public Accountant with a BBA in Accounting and Finance from the University of Texas.  She has extensive experience managing tax compliance for individual, non-profit, and business clients. 

​Most of Lisa's experience has been in the public accounting sector, but she also served as a tax manager for a mid-size publicly traded manufacturer for five years. Most recently, her area of specialization has been in business tax preparation, and her wide base of experience affords her the ability to take a broad view of problem resolution from small to large business perspectives.

Lisa says she enjoys working with a great team at Angela Washburn CPA. When not working, she enjoys time with family, reading and travel.

Shikang (Karen) Cox
Office Assistant

As an office assistant, Karen supports the team with administrative work, bookkeeping and assisting the tax team. Karen holds a Bachelor’s degree in Japanese Language from Guilin University of Technology, China, and an MBA from Payap University, Thailand.

Karen joined the company in 2024. Working in a CPA firm has allowed Karen to immerse herself in bookkeeping and the world of taxation, gaining knowledge from a wide variety of scenarios every day. Karen says the experience enriches her and equips her with the knowledge to help clients, as well as family and friends, work toward financial security.

Karen is originally from Guilin, China, and now loves calling America home. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and exploring the world. She also loves gardening, movies, reading and learning about tax and investments.

Sandy Rodriguez
Bookkeeper

Sandy joined the company in 2021 and currently works as a bookkeeper. She's passionate about the job because she enjoys bringing order to financial records, ensuring accuracy and helping clients make informed decisions.

In previous roles, Sandy managed financial records, processed payroll and assisted with tax preparation, which helped strengthened her expertise in bookkeeping. Sandy holds a Bachelor's degree in accounting, with coursework focused on financial management, bookkeeping and payroll processing.

In her free time, Sandy enjoys volunteering in her community and spending time with her family, two dogs and cats. She also loves exploring new cultures to gain new perspectives.

Eric Hubler

Eric graduated with a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Tarleton State University and has been employed at Angela Washburn CPA since 2018. He works as a Tax Preparer, mostly preparing individuals tax returns and some business tax returns. Eric has lived in the Round Rock area for most of his life and says he enjoys working with numbers and data entry. In his free time, Eric likes to read, play video games, and he also loves a good bowl of ramen or a burger!
